It is crucial for your child to learn not only academics but also social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills. At the Academy of Virtual Learning, we believe in a whole-child approach to education. Our weekly schedule and curriculum ensure your child develops in all areas. We ensure this development through our quarterly 360-degree assessments.
We understand that many of our parents are working from home and need time where they do not get disturbed. That can be challenging with young children at home. Our Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten education programs are LIVE one-hour blocks where your child will be busy and engaged. The blocks will often be a combination of interaction within the virtual classroom as well as assignments your child will be doing at home while the camera is still on. This enables your child to get advice or be directed by their teacher.
Depending on the package you choose, your child will have blocks of one-on-one time with their teacher. This ensures that all children are fully engaged in the classroom sessions and allows the teacher to track your child’s progress. If your child has any difficulties in class, they can be addressed during this time.
The Academy of Virtual Learning provides a quality education equivalent to that received in a traditional school setting, but without the risks.
Schooling through the Academy of Virtual Learning is a convenient way to provide education for your child. We follow a consistent daily schedule to ensure a healthy routine for your child, and there is no wasted time on carpool and transportation.
We will set up a conference where we go through your child’s current level to ensure he/she is placed in the best class for them. We will go through your child’s academic, social/emotional skills, ability to focus, interests, and more.
We will go through the different programs available to ensure you get the best fit for your child’s needs and your budget. You will fill out the enrollment forms and submit payment for the registration fee.
It is important to have a good set-up at home where your child does not have distractions. There needs to be space for your child to work and move. The light needs to be bright enough to ensure that your child appears crisp and clear on the camera and for your child to read the screen. Your child needs to be in a quiet environment without noise, pets, radio, TV, etc. We can arrange a video conference where we can help guide you to a good setup.
It is important that your child starts to bond with her main teacher and feel comfortable in her new academy class. One-on-one sessions will help her build excitement for each of the classes she is attending.
Your child will begin his or her journey by meeting new friends for the first time and starting to get more comfortable with a new way of learning.
